Tamara van Steeg, Ph.D.

Tamara joined LAP&P as a Consultant PK-PD in May 2006.

Tamara van Steeg (1978) has studied Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Leiden (The Netherlands), where she obtained her M.Sc. (specialisation in pharmaceutical technology and pharmacology) in 2002.

In 2008, she obtained her Ph.D. degree at Leiden University, where she had worked as a Ph.D. student at the division of Pharmacology of the Leiden/Amsterdam Centre for Drug Research. Subject of her thesis was the ‘free drug hypothesis’ in pharmacodynamics (Thesis title: 'The free drug hypothesis: “Fact or Fiction”). She specialises in mechanistic population PK-PD models, with emphasis on drug-receptor interactions.
