Bart Ploeger, PharmD, Ph.D.

Bart joined LAP&P in 2000 as a Consultant and has become a Senior Consultant in 2002. From January 2005, Bart Ploeger is appointed as Chief Scientific Officer of the company.

Bart Ploeger (1970) has studied Pharmacy at Groningen University (the Netherlands). After obtaining his M.Sc. (specialisation in pharmacology) and Pharm.D., he started his Ph.D. study in 1996 at the Research Institute of Toxicology (RITOX) at the Utrecht University (The Netherlands). Subject of his thesis was the risk assessment of chronic liquorice intake by applying PB-PK/PD modelling and simulation. The Netherlands Society of Toxicology (NVT) awarded this work with the "Professor Joep van den Bercken" prize for best thesis of the year 2000 in toxicology. He has contributed to over ten peer-reviewed publications.
