Maurice Ahsman

Maurice joined LAP&P in 2010 as a Consultant PK-PD. Maurice Ahsman (1981) obtained his PharmD in 2005 from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Utrecht University, Netherlands. From 2005 to 2010 he worked as a Junior Pharmacist at the Clinical Pharmacology Unit, Dept. of Hospital Pharmacy, Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands. In 2007, he started on a PhD project in pediatric clinical pharmacology, under the supervision of prof Dick Tibboel (Dept. of Pediatric Surgery, Sophia Children’s Hospital) and dr. Ron Mathôt (Dept. of Hospital Pharmacy). Maurice has experience in teaching, clinical consultation and drug assay techniques (HPLC-UV, LC-MS). His thesis entitled ‘Determinants of pharmacokinetic variability during ECMO: a roadmap to rational pharmacotherapy in children’ was successfully defended at Erasmus University on 2 July 2010.
